Dear international visitors, welcome to Napovednik, Slovenia's premier and most cherished online event organizer!

We've been around as an independent media since 1998 and right from the start, we have put in considerable effort to create an innovative approach to publishing, arranging, and showcasing events. We are very distinct, and we take pride in that.

We work to enhance our services daily and only communicate significant updates, so for now, here is the what and how:

On Napovednik, you'll discover activities published directly by the hosts (or with our assistance), or by our editor (as Napovednik). Some are tailored specifically for foreign visitors; others might include a presentation in English, but the performance is solely in Slovenian. We urge our event organizers to consistently include an English translation, since many individuals enjoy discovering local activities and preferences (the genuine experience of another country).

On the homepage, monthly we showcase a cover image of a highlighted event. It resembles the front of a published magazine, and we love how our designer Jernej Marušič consistently manages to create an appearance that is both stylish and lively. The cover is either selected by the editor or placed as an order by an event organizer.

On the homepage, there are also highlighted events occurring in the next week, a ticker listing events needing registration soon, and some events that may take place 'today' or within the next year. A few of these are selections by the editor, but the function serves as a resource for organizers who want or need to promote their events. We also have a space for video/gif showcases. There is also a box for a free newsletter (you can sign up, but it’s currently paused) and two small icons that direct you to our magazine (a personal project where we also keep all information about Napovednik) and a podcast link, which is also on pause.

Everything was created to uphold our primary, timeless aspect: events are presented in chronological order without any algorithmic influence! This allows you to organize your travels to Slovenia ahead of time or discover particular activities at the last moment. Napovednik features eight categories, allowing you to search by music, theatre, and more, with all events shown in chronological order; the only algorithms utilized are those that maintain our calendar in perfect order. Organizers have the option to emphasize events in specific categories as well. They will be shown at the top of every subpage, indicated by golden stars.

After clicking on an event, you'll discover all the details you require: description, image, video, links, location map...
